Data lies at the heart of modern business decisions. As a BI Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in helping various departments harness the power of data to drive efficiency, cut costs, and boost profits.
With the recent implementation of Power BI as our BI and data visualization tool, we're seeking a talented individual to design, develop, and maintain insightful dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate will bring a track record of delivering top-notch Power BI solutions, a deep understanding of data visualization best practices, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
In addition to crafting powerful insights, you'll also be tasked with identifying potential risks and opportunities based on data output and engaging in essential business controlling activities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and design Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to meet the evolving needs of the business.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across departments to gather and understand reporting requirements.
- Transform raw data into compelling visualizations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to data governance standards.
- Implement and uphold data security and access controls within Power BI.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging Power BI features to continuously enhance reporting capabilities.
- Provide training and support to end-users, maximizing the value of Power BI within the organization.
- Analyze data output to identify potential risks and opportunities, and communicate findings effectively with relevant stakeholders.
- Engage in various business controlling activities such as monthly reporting, margin analyses, and ad hoc data analysis and reporting.
Profiel- Bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Business & Management or related field.
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer with strong proficiency in DAX and M query language.
- Solid understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with SQL and other data manipulation tools is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Critical thinking and change advocacy.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and manage deadlines effectively.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 applications; knowledge of SAP and/or MS Dynamics is an asset.
