Description de fonctionFor our client Barbados Pharmaceuticals Inc. (BPI), we are seeking a high-performing
Senior Business Development Lead – Pharmaceutical Investment & Marketing
to initiate BPI’s pharmaceutical investment and marketing strategy in Europe.

This senior role will be instrumental in:
  • Positioning Barbados as a strategic destination for pharmaceutical and supply chain investments,
  • Generating qualified investor leads,
  • Attracting and managing key relationships across the European pharmaceutical and life sciences ecosystem,
  • Leading strategic representation at high-level events and missions,
  • Ensuring alignment with BPI’s broader sectoral, regulatory, and innovation agenda.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement BPI’s pharmaceutical investment promotion strategy for Europe and other key global markets,
  • Build and manage a strong and qualified pipeline of potential investors aligned with BPI’s goals,
  • Cultivate strategic relationships and represent BPI at major international events, trade missions, and with European chambers of commerce and trade associations,
  • Identify and connect promising investment opportunities with appropriate partners; facilitate negotiations and due diligence,
  • Create tailored investment briefings, pitches, and communications for executives, investors, and policymakers,
  • Act as BPI’s strategic representative in Europe, building partnerships across life sciences and pharmaceuticals domains,
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound investment missions,
  • Collaborate closely with BPI’s innovation, strategy, and financing teams to align on messaging and investor targeting,
  • Monitor trends in pharma FDI and European market dynamics; provide intelligence to guide policy and strategy,
  • Promote and help organize investment events in Barbados,
  • Track progress against KPIs, submit report regularly, and propose strategies for emerging risks.
ProfilMinimum Qualifications
  • Postgraduate degree in Business, Finance, or International Trade,
  • 7+ years of senior experience in investment promotion, business development, or FDI consulting—preferably in pharma, biotech, or global health,
  • Proven track record managing strategic investor relations and complex deal pipelines,
  • Professional experience in international business, especially in European markets,
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to deliver high-impact presentations and investment proposals,
  • Good understanding of pharma and life sciences trends, global supply chains, and sector-specific incentives,
  • Fluency in English; French, German, or Dutch strongly preferred.
? Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with or alongside international organizations,
  • Familiarity with European pharmaceutical regulations and global site selection criteria,
  • Knowledge of the Caribbean investment environment,
  • CRM proficiency and investor relationship management systems experience.
