Description de fonctionOngoing operations
  • Oversee production planning and management activities within the organization.
  • Develop production plan, budget, and timelines according to production specifications.
  • Determine production requirements based on plant capacity and production specifications.
  • Plan workflow and schedules for the production department.
  • Monitor production status and ensure timely delivery.
  • Identify delays and accordingly adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Assist in employee hiring, training, performance evaluation, retention, and termination activities.
  • Ensure smooth communication with the other plants within the Group in order to guarantee an optimal collaboration.
Improvement initiatives
  • You help to secure, renew and improve business processes to achieve the middle to long term objectives. As the implementation of SAP is foreseen in the coming months, operational processes will need to be adapted and/or improved already, so buy-in from the team
    on the shopfloor will be key for a successful go-live.
  • You manage the change associated with the improvement projects and the SAP implementation.
  • You ensure that people and resources are deployed in the most efficient way and are able to guide and coach people in order to further develop the skills needed for sustainable growth of the plant’s operations.
  • You determine the strategy and objectives for your plant together with the general management.
Profil
  • Master’s degree preferably as engineer, complemented by at least 10 years of experience in a managerial position in a production environment
  • Knowledge of SAP (S/4HANA), the meat sector, and experience in industrial (installation) projects is a big plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
  • Strong organizational and ‘hands-on’ problem-solving skills
  • At the same time also a strategic thinker, being able to develop a medium- and long-term strategy and draw up an appropriate roadmap based on this. You think in terms of processes and KPIs.
  •  Excellent communication abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills combined with strong analytical skills
  • Team player who can work together easily with people from other departments and sites
  • Native French or Dutch speaker, with at least a professional level of communication, both written and spoken in the other language in the other national language
Descriptif de l’organisation et du départementOur client is a Belgian company leader in the food sector, and part of large Belgian Group. To support their growth, the company is looking for a Plant Manager to pilot the slicing/packaging site of specific food products.

As a strong and respectful people manager, you lead the department where approximately 200 employees work together. You will directly manage production (production managers, who in turn manage team leaders), supply chain manager, process engineer and in matrix to quality and technical service.
Offre This is a 12 month full-time challenging interim management assignment.
