Job description As an Automation & Electrical Engineer, you’ll join the onshore infrastructure team based in Antwerp. You will provide technical support in the fields of electrical systems, instrumentation, and automation (EIA). You’ll collaborate closely with Technical Superintendents onboard and support ongoing projects to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations in line with industry and client standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical follow-up on electrical, instrumentation, and automation (EIA) systems for existing LNG assets.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in EIA topics during newbuild projects.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all technical matters related to automation and electrical systems.
  • Prepare and review technical specifications for maintenance and dry-docking activities.
  • Propose and implement technical improvements to enhance reliability and performance.
  • Oversee maintenance plans and ensure compliance with class and statutory certifications.
  • Coordinate both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
  • Report on progress, budgeting, and compliance of EIA systems.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical budgets for operations and projects.
  • Approve purchase requests and expenditures within budget constraints.
Profile
  • Master’s degree in automation, electromechanics, or electrical engineering—or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and automation platforms (e.g., DCS, SIS, Honeywell).
  • Analytical mindset with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10–20% of the time.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch is an asset.
