Functieomschrijving You will manage the Human Ressource Function in order to attract, develop and retain quality people.
Main activities and responsibilities :
  • Strategy Implementation 
-  Provide input to the Senior Management with business requirements to support the needs of the business and to ensure consistency in HR practices and high HR performance standards.
- Provide input into the HR strategy for the Company.
- Identify HR activities in line with budget requirements, HR requirements and Business Needs.
- Formulate the annual HR plan and put forward necessary budget and resource requirements.
- Manage the HR budget.
  • HR Management and deployment
- To implement, manage and evaluate HR policies, processes and programmes to attract, develop and retain quality people.
- Formulate and implement local HR policies in line with local laws and legislation.
- Manage the HR areas effectively (depending on organisational structure, this may include one or more of the following areas:
Payroll & Personnel Administration: ensures that payroll and personnel administration is executed accurately, efficiently and on time and that any relevant HR system is implemented and maintained as required.
Recruitment & selection: Supports and advises line management with regard to their staff planning and recruitment in line with the HR strategy and business requirements.
Learning & development: Identifies and provides relevant L & D opportunities in line with short and long term business requirements and provides management with the necessary tools and instruments to develop their people.
Compensation and Benefits: Applies competitive remuneration and benefit packages.
Performance Management: Implements and applies AB performance management policies and processes.
Organisational Development: Advises senior management on and manages the process of organisational development and change.
Regularly evaluate the status of the annual HR plan and the effectiveness of the HR programmes and processes and policies.
Keep abreast with HR trends and developments to evaluate its potential application within own entity.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with all management and provide advice when appropriate on any HR related issue.
  • Administration and Management information
-To maintain and secure an efficient and effective personnel administration in line with legal requirements and HR policies to ensure timely and accurate information is provided to all stakeholders and to identify potential improvements of any HR related activity.
- Ensure personnel and other HR data is gathered, analysed and reported to HR and Management within own entity in a consistent and effective way.
- Ensure personnel and other HR data is analysed to identify and implement potential improvements.
- Maintain and secure an efficient and effective personnel administration in line with Local Legal Requirements.
  • Employee Relations
- To create and maintain positive working relationships with Employee Representatives/Union Representatives to foster an optimal environment for all staff and to be able to get Business Unit Plans accepted.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with Employee Representatives/Unions.
- Provide advice on legal and regulatory issues.
  • People management
- To lead, motivate and empower the staff through effective & open communication, excellent leadership, regular performance feedback and teambuilding in order to maximise customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction and team productivity.
- Communicate and monitor clear individual performance objectives and service standards.
- Create a positive and collaborative team environment by setting and regularly reviewing the achievement of team goals.
- Facilitate team meetings and other two-way communication forums.
- Communicate and monitor reward and recognition schemes.
- Ensure effective dissemination of relevant information to employees.
- Promote the corporate values through active participation in the corporate initiatives.
- Plan and conduct regular coaching sessions with each employee and follow up.
- Provide immediate feedback to employees in order to act upon learning opportunities following voluntary or involuntary leave, disciplinary warnings or other incidents.
- Conduct annual performance appraisals.
- Analyse /weekly/monthly/quarterly performance data and reports against standards of quality and productivity.
- Ensure training and development plans are in place for every employee and are complied to.
- Support the HR leadership development and succession planning programmes by actively identifying the high potentials.Profiel
  • Experience in Managing a team.
  • Proven experience and knowledge in effective people management practices, including leadership development, succession planning, training and coaching.
  • Experience in interacting with middle (senior) management.
  • General knowledge on labour legislation and social law.
  • Thorough understanding of HR processes and activities
  • Knowledge of the business levers, processes and structures.
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English. Dutch is an asset
  • Display a positive, open and cooperative behaviour in order to facilitate a good relationship inside and outside the department, avoid and help solve conflicts.
