Functieomschrijving As Category Buyer, you are responsible for the correct execution and follow-up of the entire charter process of ship parts. You will be part of a team consisting of 5 colleagues.

Identifying the requirements and chartering needs of international projects
Develop and manage a network of reliable suppliers and subcontractors
Manage the entire procurement process: requests for offers, tenders, comparing offers, negotiating terms and preparing contracts
Build and manage relationships with various internal stakeholders (business units, project and tender teams, other supporting divisions) and external stakeholders (ship owners and brokers)
Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and contracts
Ensure that suppliers and subcontractors meet standards for competitive pricing, quality, performance, safety and sustainability, and take corrective action when necessary
You will report to the Category Manager Chartering

Profiel Who are we looking for?

You have a higher degree and at least 5 years experience as a buyer
You have an affinity with the maritime world
You can express yourself fluently in English
You have a good knowledge of Excel
You work accurately and can set priorities
You are willing to learn and follow internal trainings
