Project Manager Credit Risk Manager



In the context of a renewal our client is looking to organize their core business in the most efficient way. This implies a carefully designed governance, as well as an effective delivery model and program organisation. While the delivery will be based on Agile principles, a strong central team will ensure one coherent program scope and prioritization, roadmap, release and test strategy, program reporting (incl. follow-up of budget and value realization, and program risk management) and respect of governance. The team will support the program with common methodologies and deliverables.

Main responsibilities of the team are:

  • Coordinate possible vendor selection processes (RFP, PoC, negotiation, contracting), in collaboration with business, IT, Purchase and Legal;
  • Organise and coordinate business and IT activities of the CBR Program, both in planning, design and implementation, in a way that supports and strengthens the Agile Delivery Model;
  • Coordinate and align with vendors and third parties throughout the CBR Program, including a common program reporting, roadmap, and release planning;
  • Provide PMO support and Program Managers for the different Program Stream, as well as an End-to-End Test and Release Manager;
  • Manage change and internal communication;
  • Manage Program Risks in a (pro)active manner, and facilitate a coherent reporting in line with the program governance.
 The team reports directly to the CBR Program Director.

The CBR program consist of four Streams: End-to-End Credit process, Credit Risk Management, Digitally Enabled Banker and CBR Technology and Platform, each having a responsible Stream Owner.

Each Stream has a dedicated Program Manager, supporting the Program Director and the Stream Owner in the coordination of the stream.

The Program Manager of each Stream:

  • is responsible for the end-to-end design, coordination, planning, risk management and reporting related to the Stream, proactively monitors its progress, resolves issues and initiates appropriate corrective actions;
  • has a transversal role, ensuring coordination of the Stream for the CBR Program, across the company, both for business and IT;
  • reports directly to and supports the CBR Program Director, and has a strong functional link with the Stream Owner;
  • manages the delivery of the solution with the Agile Release Trains, in line with the overall CBR Program roadmap and methodology, and on budget/planning/scope. He/She ensures priorities defined at Program level are respected, and watches over deliverables and respect of milestones;
  • actively manages all the concerned stakeholders in the stream;
  • identifies and manages interdependencies between his/her stream and other streams or projects;
  • provides Stream status reporting and reports issues, decisions, risks and dependencies to the Program Alignment meeting, where further reporting and escalation is decided, if required, to the governance bodies in line with CBR program governance;
  • supports the Program Director in the management of and interaction with vendors and third parties, and in the follow-up of the CBR Program KPI, budget, quality, scope and planning;
  • supports the change manager in the roll-out with regards to communications, training, …
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in large transformation programs related to IT and/or business process optimization;
  • A qualitative project methodology applied in a pragmatic and fully supportive manner, minimizing overhead, fits company culture;
  • Structured approach, able to keep oversight and prioritise in a complex context with a significant number of stakeholders and activities;
  • Able to absorb a significant amount of work, stress resistant;
  • Strong communication and organisation skills;
  • Team player and change manager;
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, autonomous and proactive.
