For one of our pharma clients in Brussels we're looking for a TENDER MANAGER

You are responsible for preparing managing bids and tenders in BeLux in order to respond to the Tendering Authority in a qualitative, commercial friendly and timely manner. 
The role is furthermore responsible for coordinating and communicating all questions in the tender requests and for setting internal deadlines for input and coordination of the tender information in order to meet all external deadlines for submission. The role is also responsible for securing that the tender databases are regularly and accurately maintained and that key information is cascaded to the relevant stakeholders. 

Your tasks consist of:

  • Upon receiving the published dossier, you will identify all requests, attribute them to internal stakeholders and identify potential gaps
  • You will assess the requirements and will prepopulate the assumption model
  • You will present these elements within the Strategic Partnership Unit during the weekly tender core team meeting
  • You will build the tender dossier and write/compose the tender from scratch in Dutch/French
  • You will follow-up on missing info
  • You will submit the dossier to the tendering authority post signature
  • You will take the lead in the weekly tender meetings in order to make sure all identified elements are recorded, discussed and aligned upon
  • Secure that the tender databases (MERIT etc) are regularly and accurately maintained

Team work: 

  • While focusing on building and maintaining the tender management framework the role works closely with other functions (I.e. marketing, sales, regulatory, medical affairs, finance and legal). 
  • Establish a proactive and interactive information flow with relevant business teams, as applicable to manage tenders successfully. 
  • The tender manager is a very good team player within the Commercial Strategy and Strategic Operations team. 


  • Keep informed of relevant compliance policies including interactions policy – especially interaction with third parties and interaction with government officials 

As TENDER MANAGER your profile matches the following description:

  • You possess several years of commercial experience in business or life sciences or equivalent
  • You possess strong knowledge of French and Dutch, English at a business level
  • You have work experience within and substantial understanding of pharma or biotechnology environment
  • You can work independently and can take the lead in transversal meetings
  • Experience with tendering is a big plus
  • You are able to understand and distill complex information on procurement processes and tenders into understandable concepts and language
  • You have good computer skills, literate with interest in digital solutions, web-based platforms (E-tendering)
  • You can build a dossier in answer to the specific tender requirements
  • You can write a complete commercial friendly dossier in Dutch/French
  • You possess project management skills: you can plan against short deadlines
  • You work very accurate and precise as owner of action plan
  • You have a problem solving mentality
  • You wokr hands-on and are able to learn fast
  • You bring structure in complexity
  • You possess a good knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office and especially Excel
  • You have good customer and marketing insights
